Vegan
Vuokkoset Bio products are vegan and have been awarded the V label. They do not contain any products of animal origin.

Our family-owned company has a long history of collaboration with the Finnish Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation. The Finnish Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation’s Allergy Label indicates a product that meets strict, product-specific requirements. The products do not contain fragrances, bleaching agents, or other substances which commonly cause irritation or sensitivity.
Our products are manufactured with consideration for typical skin issues and sensitivity that are common to Finns. We only use clean, selected, and safe raw materials. In addition to our basic product range, other products include pads and pantyliners with cotton surfaces, and 100% organic cotton tampons.

The state of the environment affects us all, since our health and wellbeing are dependent on the cleanliness of nature, the earth, and the atmosphere. By choosing Vuokkoset, you can be sure that the product’s environmental impact has been carefully considered throughout the product’s life cycle, from the selection of the raw materials to recycling of the used product.
Vuokkoset products have been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in recognition of our environmental responsibility. Obtaining the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for disposable products is no small feat, as extremely stringent criteria are set for Nordic Swan Ecolabel products and their manufacture. All of the materials and raw materials used in the products must be manufactured in an energy-saving and environmentally friendly way.
No harmful chemicals
Nordic Swan Ecolabel products may not contain any chemicals that are harmful to people or the environment and which could end up in contact with nature. So, you won’t find any harmful chemicals like rayon, dyes, bleaching agents, or fragrances in Vuokkoset products. That’s one less thing for you to worry about during your period.
No to landfill waste, yes to renewable energy
We consider all of the environmental impacts of manufacturing a product and have succeeded in minimising the amount of waste generated by our production. No landfill waste is generated from the manufacture of our products; all production waste is burnt, and the resulting heat is utilised as energy. Our production facilities use 100% renewable and certified hydropower. We are continuously developing our products to be even more environmentally friendly.
The Bio range is carbon neutral and vegan
The Vuokkoset Bio range products are carbon neutral. Carbon neutrality comes from these and more concrete actions: Our production only uses electricity produced with certified hydropower. All of our production waste is burnt and turned into energy, and products are designed and manufactured in Finland.
The Vuokkoset Bio range is also vegan, and it has been awarded the V label in recognition of this.
